Upcoming Holiday Events
December is kicking into full gear and D.C. is getting in the spirit. We have a few upcoming events to share with you that will be taking place this week on December 6th.
First off is the Creative Christmas open house. Taking place at the Embassy of Denmark, this event will feature work from four graduate students from the Corcoran College of Art and Design. MA interior design candidates, Audrey Cotton, and Jacqueline Hiersteiner, along with MA exhibition design students, Maizie Clarke, and Alexandra Hunger, will translate the Danish cultural term “hygge” into an installation for all to understand and experience. This event is free and open to the public. It begins at 3 p.m. and ends at 5 p.m.
Next is the annual InterFaith concert. This celebration of the sacred in song, dance, and chant features holiday pieces from all different sects of religion. The event will take place from 7:30-9 p.m. at the Washington Hebrew Congregation church. Tickets are $30 and are available online through the InterFiath website.
But if history is what you are in the mood for then Tudor Nights: Deck the Halls is just the event for you. Taking place at the Tudor Place Manor, this 21+ event is a historic holiday celebration. The mansion will be trimmed with festive greenery and decor, right in time for the holidays. A spiced ginger pear cocktail with being served along with an array of holiday sweets and savories.
