Dear Friend,
It’s getting down to the wire for the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure Walk ~ September 24th ~ just three days after my birthday. What a way to celebrate ~ walking to help end breast cancer.
First I’d like to thank everyone that has sponsored me to date! I truly appreciate your commitment and support.
Training has been a bit grueling for me with my bum foot but I am determined to walk the entire 60 miles. My team ~ The Belmont Babes ~ will be staying in the tent camp. We considered staying in a hotel but decided we wanted the full experience. Fortunately, they offer a towel service, which I happily purchased (a clean towel daily is a must for me!).
I’ll walk 60 miles over the course of three days with thousands of other women and men. Net proceeds from the 3-Day for the Cure fund innovative global breast cancer research and local community programs supporting education, screen, ng and treatment. Virtually every major advance in the fight against breast cancer in the last 28 years has been impacted by a Komen for the Cure grant.
I’ve agreed to raise at least $2,300 in donations. So I need your help. Would you please consider making a donation of $100.00? Keep in mind how far I’m walking – and how hard I’ll have to train. You can give online at The3Day.org. Just follow the link below to visit my personal fundraising webpage and make a donation. You can also call 800-996-3DAY to donate over the phone.
Please pledge yourself or on behalf of your company, blog, or web store. Since your name or company name will appear on my scroll, it is an effective and kind method of marketing. This email has been sent to hundreds of affluent people who will see your name. Feel free to forward it to hundreds more! Spread the word!
For an added incentive all those that sponsor me for $250.00 or more will receive a button on my blog (www.paulagracedesigns. blogspot.com) linking my readers to your company’s website for a full year. I will even create the button for you with your company’s name and/or logo. Now that is kind marketing dollars well spent!
There are many reasons why I am walking. There is a strong history of cancer in my husband’s family. In my own family, my sister in law had breast cancer. I’m sure many of you have sat in waiting rooms yourself or with a friend or loved one waiting to hear your results. When the exam comes back all clear, a sigh of relief fills the air. Not so with many near and dear to us. There is not a week that goes by that I don’t hear of someone facing breast cancer.
Somewhere in the world, a woman dies from breast cancer every 69 seconds. That’s why I’m walking so far. To do something bold about breast cancer. I hope that you’ll share this incredible adventure with me – by supporting me in my fundraising efforts.
Thank you in advance for your generosity!
Sincerely,
Paula Grace Halewski
P.S. Ask your employer if they will double your donation through a matching gift program!
