Clicquot Mail Truck stops by DC
In this digital age, when nearly everything is texted, typed or tweeted, getting actual snail mail can make our whole day. And if that mail came with a side of champagne? Even better. This is what Veuve Clicquot suggests with their cross country mail truck tour. This summer, Veuve Clicquot’s mail truck, painted in their signature yellow hue, has been popping up in cities across the country. Along with providing great drinks, the iconic champagne has been organizing events in each city through which it passes.
Now, after a few days in Virginia, the truck will be arriving in DC. The events begin with a Clicquot By Mail party at The W Hotel on Wednesday, July 30, from 5 to 8 pm. There will drink, homemade potato chips, crab beignets and even a calligraphist on site to transcribe personalized messages and letters for guests. On Thursday, June 31, the truck heads to The Washington Hilton from 5 to 8 pm with bellinis, mimosas, and live music. New restaurant Boss Shepherd’s will host the Clicquot Mail Truck on Friday, August 1, offering its patron with specials on Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label and Rosé all night. The Clicquot Mail Truck makes its final stop in DC at STK on Saturday, August 2, from 4 to 6 pm and will have local, fresh raw bar appetizers on hand.
