A Caffeinated Debate Brewed Both Ways

Imagine waking up to your very own barista on the kitchen countertop. Are you aching for a latte but can only make a “regular” cup of coffee? Well, with Nespresso’s new line of coffee machines, you can have them both at the comfort of your home.

A new revolution is rising, and it’s not exactly on the streets with picket signs. It’s a coffee revolution. Imagine waking up to your very own barista on the kitchen countertop. Would you like to drink American style coffee or traditional Italian style espresso with a generous amount of crema? Well, with Nespresso’s new line of coffee machines, you can have them both at the comfort of your home.

Espresso machine maker Nespresso has transformed the way its machines make coffee with its new VirtuoLine system, and the company is on a nationwide tour of pop up locations so that everyone can have a taste of the revolution one cup at a time. Whereas typical home coffee machines such as Keurig brew drip coffee, Nespresso machines cater to espresso aficionados for at-home enjoyment. Nespresso’s new VirtuoLine machine aims to bridge the gap for coffee drinkers looking to enjoy the coffeehouse taste at home with it’s “two for one” approach, offering both four-ounce espresso and larger eight ounces “regular” coffee. And there’s a bonus! Larger coffee pours finish off with a foamy head, like those found only at coffeehouses.

Nespresso has placed pop up location at Union Station until Friday, March 7, 2014, for travelers and locals alike to try the revolution of coffee making in their new Vertuoline. It’s part of a 108-day, 17 location national pop up tasting tour. Other locations include Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Newport Beach, Minneapolis, Scottsdale, Denver, Austin, Houston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, Atlanta, and Miami.

Chef Spike Mendelsohn of Good Stuff Eatery was on site to explain the new line.

“As a chef who owns and operates several establishments, I know that a quality meal encompasses a variety of factors and that staying ahead of the curve is key. This is why I am so glad to be here with Nespresso whose views align with mine when they are creating their high-caliber coffee and espresso. For the rest of this week, people will be able to swing by Nespresso’s Union Station pop-up to try the innovative VertuoLine and to pick the flavors that match their preferences. It’s most definitely worth the trip.”
