The 8th Annual Fashion for Paws Event
Fashion for Paws Nothing Short of Paw’some
A fashion show that incorporates dogs as the main event? I think so. And what a delightful concept it was. Dog models. But it would only make sense in this case. Fashion for Paws, a cause to help raise awareness and funds for the Washington Humane Society, was on a mission to do just that at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. In my opinion, it was a success, and I am sure the organization would agree. Since the origin of the show seven years ago, each Fashion for Paws event has sold at least 1,700 tickets each year.
Wardrobe provided by Intermix, Lilly Pulitzer, Ann Taylor and more graced the stage while the little models looked ravishing in all doggie couture by Wagtime. Fashion for both the dogs and their owners corresponded with participating retailers of Tysons Galleria’s spring collections. Fitting for the annual spring fashion show.
It was endearing to witness the bond between the owners and their dogs as they strutted their stuff on the catwalk. And of course, the chic ambiance and sophisticated setting were nonetheless on point.
