NCTA Chairman's Reception and TV Icon Susan Lucci

On Tuesday, June 11, 2013, A&E hosted the National Cable and Telecommunications Association Chairman’s Reception at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery. Top industry leaders and TV personalities gathered together at the annual "The Cable Show" event, which recognizes NCTA leadership.

The reception was held at the National Portrait Gallery's Kogod Courtyard. Enclosed by an elegant glass canopy, the courtyard was transformed into a chic environment adorned with bright colors and chevron patterned tablecloths. The atmosphere was light and fresh, accompanied by two open bars and the red carpet.

Celebrating the exclusive chairman’s reception included well-known cable TV personalities such as Mark Cuban, Ricky Schroeder, Andy Cohen (Watch What Happens Live), Troy Landry (Swamp People), and Anna Ortiz and Susan Lucci from Lifetime’s newest series, Devious Maids.

As anyone would expect from “Daytime’s Leading Lady,” Emmy award winner Susan Lucci was classy, gracious and stunning as ever on the red carpet.

Best known for her role as Erica Kane on ABC’s All My Children, Lucci donated the dress she wore for a cover of People magazine to the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History yesterday afternoon.

Her dress will be part of the new American popular culture exhibition. Lucci said she was "honored."

Lucci graced the red carpet wearing a Herve Leger red bandage dress paired with a pair of Valentino spiked peep toe heels in a nude patent leather .

The NCTA represents more than 200 cable program networks as well as a provider of other services to the cable industry. During The Cable Show, the largest annual cable convention in the U.S., the NCTA presents the Vanguard Awards. Award winners are nominated by the NCTA.
